Vacation!

Ryan has had another exciting month!  On February 17, he turned 5 months old!  He continues to be one of the happiest babies around and has finally mastered rolling :)  This month started with Mommy working the night shift which was pretty tough for everyone.  Daddy did a great job (as usual) holding down the fort and doing all the fun 4am feedings!  However, after 2 weeks of that we celebrated with a 2 week vacation!  This meant two weeks of no daycare and lots of fun visiting family and friends.  Here are some recent pictures.

We spent the first week of vacation in Richmond at Nana and Papa's house.  Here is a picture of Ryan at his first UR basketball game with Papa.  He was a little scared at first, but by the end was having fun! 

After our week in Richmond we went to Orlando to spend some time with daddy's family.  Ryan got to go on his first plane ride and did very well.  He did not sleep a wink on the plane, but just smiled and bounced around in Mommy and Daddy's laps for nearly 2 hours.  We were exhausted, but he thought it was great fun.

Thanks to his two older cousins- the Chius were well equipped with baby supplies for Ryan to use while we were visiting.  Here he is enjoying a fun stroller toy.   

Here's a great close up.  As usual- the chin is covered in drool :)  Ryan goes through about 10 bibs a day!

4 Months Old

On January 17, Ryan turned 4 months old!  This has been a fun month!  Ryan is really starting to interact with his toys.  He usually has a big smile on his face and laughs and squeals all day.  By far his biggest accomplishment has been learning to sleep "through the night."  Yay!  Of course, for a 4 month old that means a 6 hour stretch, but that is a huge improvement from the 3-4 hour stretches we were getting before!  Mommy and Daddy are much happier people these days with a little sleep.  Ryan is also enjoying daycare.  He seems very happy there and has even weathered 2 colds successfully, haha.   Here are some pictures from the last few weeks.

Ryan, the sophisticated baby that he is, recently visited the Barboursville winery. 

This was a great candid shot where Ryan had just bumped Daddy's wine glass spilling red wine all over!  You can see a little on Ryan's sleeve, oops!

Ryan was joined at the winery by a group of friends from Mommy's residency.  He was well looked after by so many pediatricians.
